IARI Technician Recruitment 2021 Notification: 

Job Summary :

IARI Recruitment 2022  Quick Summary :

Applicants will be online exam which is scheduled to be held from 25 January to 05 February 2022. The selected candidates will have to undergo one-year on-the-job training, which will be provided by the respective Institutes to the selected candidates. After successful completion of the one year training, a certificate to this effect will be provided by the Director of the concerned Institute.

IARI Technician Salary:

IARI Technician (T-1) Eligibility Criteria:

Technician (T-1) :

Matriculation (10th) pass from a recognized Board

Age Limit: (As on 10.01.2022)

a. Minimum age limit is 18 years as on 10 January 2022 i.e. closing date of online application.

b. Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 10 January 2022 i.e., closing date of online application. The maximum age limit for Serving regular employees of ICAR is 58 years as on 10 January 2022.

c. The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable: –

(i) Up to a maximum of five (05) years if a candidate belongs to SC or ST in respect of posts reserved for them.

(ii) Up to a maximum of three (03) years in respect of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail reservation in respect of posts reserved for them.

(iii) For candidates belonging to ‘Persons with Benchmark Disability’ category, the upper age limit will be relaxable up to a maximum of 10 years. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) who are also covered under the ‘Person with Benchmark Disability’ category will be eligible for grant of cumulative age relaxation under both of their respective categories. The reservation for PwBD is horizontal across all the categories

(iv) To other bonafide displaced persons/repatriates of Indian origin/ Ex-Service Men/ Serving Defence Services Personnel etc. as per the existing instructions of the Government of India on the subject.

(v) In any circumstance maximum age limit cannot be more than 58 years as on 10 January 2022.

(vi) Candidate should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent Certificate only will be accepted by the ICAR-IARI for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be entertained.

Computer Based Test/Examination shall consist of Objective Type 100 Questions with 4 multiple choice answers out of which candidate has to choose one correct answer only. Each question
carries one mark. For each wrong answer ¼ (0.25) mark shall be deducted.

IARI Technician (T-1) Selection Process:

The Selection Procedure of the Exam will be as follows:

1.  Written Exam

Plan of Examination: –

The scheme and syllabus of the examination are given in the rules of the examination for the respective posts vide Annexure III. The Question Paper will be set in English & Hindi only. In case of any difference/discrepancy/dispute in the questions between English and Hindi, the content of English version shall prevail.

Computer Based Test/Examination shall consist of Objective Type 100 Questions with 4 multiple choice answers out of which candidate has to choose one correct answer only. Each question carries one mark. For each wrong answer ¼ (0.25) mark shall be deducted.

Qualifying marks in written test/CBT is prescribed as 40% for UR, 30% for SC/OBC-NCL/EWS and 25% for ST.

Pan-India Examination Cities:

a. The Computer Based Test (CBT) may be held at cities as per Annexure- II

b. Applicants should clearly indicate their order of preference for Five (05) “Examination Centres” in the online application format.

c. Request for change of date, examination centre and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Scheme of Examination:

(a) Examination will be of 100 marks consisting of Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions and the duration will be of one and half hours. There will be four subjects carrying 25 marks for each of the following subjects as per the following scheme: –

(b) The question papers will be prepared bilingually, in English & Hindi for Sections 1, 2, 3 & 4.

(c) The question paper will be common for all the functional groups in which the recruitment is proposed to be made.

(d) There will be no interview for the posts of Technician (T-1).

(e) The Answer key will be placed on the IARI website after the written examination. Any representation regarding answer key received within 05 days of uploading of the answer key will be scrutinized and the decision of the IARI/Council in this regard will be final.

Indicative Syllabus for Written Examination:

(a) General Knowledge: Question may be designed to test knowledge of current events relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, General Policy & Scientific Research.

(b) Mathematics: Matric level questions on Number System, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry and Statistical Charts.

(c) Science: Matric level questions on Physical and Chemical Substances – nature and Behaviour, World of Living, Natural Phenomenon, Effects of Current and Natural Resources.

(d) Social Science: Matric level questions on India and the Contemporary World Democratic Politics, Understanding Economic Development and Disaster Management.

The selected candidates will have to undergo one-year on-the-job training, which will be provided by the respective Institutes to the selected candidates. After successful completion of the one year training, a certificate to this effect will be provided by the Director of the concerned Institute. The selected candidate would be called as “Technical Trainee” during the training period. During the period of training, Technical Trainees may be allowed to avail Institute facilities like transport/canteen/dispensary/library etc. During the training they will not be entitled for any kind of leave. Regular appointment against the post of Technician (T-1) will be done after successful completion of the one-year training at the concerned Institute. The period of training may be extended by a maximum period of six months if he/she fails to complete the training successfully within the period of one year, before regular appointment is made in respect of him/her. If, the candidates fail to complete the training successfully even by the extended period, he/she may not be considered for regular appointment.
