SSC GD Syllabus 2023:
SSC GD Syllabus is published by the official authorities in the recruitment notification. The candidates appearing for the exam must check the detailed SSC GD exam pattern and syllabus in the beginning of their preparations. The SSC GD Syllabus is the first and foremost step, to begin, your preparation for the upcoming General Duty Constable Exam. With the help of the SSC GD exam pattern and syllabus, the candidates can plan a well-mannered strategy for the upcoming SSC GD and can prepare in a systematic manner. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the SSC GD Exam Pattern for the post of constables which has been released along with the official notification.
NOTE : There will be 80 questions for 160 marks to be solved in 60 minutes and there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2023 [Revised] Syllabus

As per the revised SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice-based exam.
• The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total.
• The duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes.
• The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages – English and Hindi only.
• There is a 0.50 negative marking for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
• The questions asked in the online examination will be of High School (10th) level.

SSC GD selection process will consist of four stages. You have to clear the consecutive stages to appear for the next stage of the Staff Selection Commission General Duty Constable exam.

The candidates’ ability to understand basic English and its basic comprehension would be tested. Whether you choose to appear in English or Hindi language, this section will be in English language only for all candidates.

SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test
Once you clear the SSC GD CBE, you will be allowed to attempt the SSC GD PET. The PET exam is a rigorous physical exam that tests your fitness and physical aptitude. The officials will first check whether you fit the height and weight criterion after which you will be allowed to attempt the PET. The PET is a Race that you have to complete within the time allotted. This will be followed by biometric identification. Here are the criteria for SSC GD 2022 PET –

NOTES
- Pregnant women cannot take PET.
- Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET.

- Height and Weight standards are based on the Gender of the Candidate.
- Weight has to be proportionate to the height of the candidate.
SSC GD Medical Examination
This is the last stage of SSC GD exams. There will be thorough scrutiny of your health on the basis of these factors.

- The colour vision standard is CP-3 by ISHIHARA.
- Visual Correction of any kind is not allowed, even glasses.
- For a right-handed person, the right eye is the dominant eye and vice versa.
- Binocular Vision is necessary.
Even though the Computer Based Exam for GD Constable is conducted by SSC. The Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Eligibility Test (PET), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) is conducted by the CAPFs.
