The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will release the TNPSC CESE 2022 Notification in March 2022 as per the annual planner released by TNPSC. There will be a total of 626 vacancies for the post of Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer in various departments of TNPSC.

Qualification for TNPSC CESE Exam
The candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil as well as the following educational qualification.

TNPSC CESE Selection Process 2022
The selection process is done on the following basis:
- Paper-I Subjects in which the candidate has acquired his/her Degree qualification. This paper carries 300 Marks
- Paper-II General Studies (Degree Standard-100 questions). This paper carries 200 Marks
- Interview and Records – 70 Marks
The total marks obtained by the applicants at the written examination and oral test decide the final selection of the candidate in the exam.

The salary for the TNPSC CESE is given below for each post.
- TNPSC Junior Draughting Officer and Junior Technical Assistant – Rs.35400-112400 Level 11 (Revised Scale)
- TNPSC JE – Rs. 35900-113500 Level 13 (Revised Scale)
TNPSC CESE Exam Pattern
The TNPSC CESE exam shall have two papers, Paper 1 & Paper 2. The TNPSC CESE Paper 1 shall be for 300 marks with 200 questions. All the questions will be objective in nature. Paper 1 shall be the subject paper as per educational qualification while Paper 2 shall be the General Studies and Mental Ability Test. Check the TNPSC CESE Exam Pattern below.

TNPSC CESE Syllabus 2022
The TNPSC CESE syllabus for Paper 1 shall be based on the candidate’s educational qualification at the Diploma level. On the other hand, the syllabus for Paper 2 for TNPSC General Studies will be based on the HSC standards. On the other hand, the Mental Ability syllabus will be based on the SSLC level.
TNPSC CESE Cut Off
The TNPSC CESE Cut Off will be declared after the completion of the result. TNPSC has set the minimum qualifying marks in the given table below.
